Time flies doesn't it

Before you know it, Christmas has come n gone, so did the New Year. Then I was looking forward to Chinese New Year and the more than a week long holiday.......and guess what ? That's gone too now :( You can never get enough of holidays anyway. Malaysia is packed with holidays every month. I believe we should be one the top ranking nations in the world where holidays are concerned :)

To all my friends, I wish you all "Gong Xi Fa Cai"

This Chinese New Year was pretty interesting although me and family did not go anywhere out of town. We had the pleasure of driving around KL without any traffic at all. Getting to Ikea was a breeze on the 1st day of the lunar year, believe it or not. Spent the rest of the time visiting relatives and it was good to catch up with my cousins, aunts and uncles. Bet I easily put on a few pounds as during Chinese New Year, it's all about food. The moment you enter a house as a guest, you are greeted with lotsa goodies like cookies n stuff, peanuts, mandarin oranges, candy, kuaci, dried meat floss blah blah blah. Mind you, thats just for starters. Almost all homes that I went to had lunch or dinner or tea prepared as well. And we can never finish the food because there is always so much prepared. Apart from the food we had quite a good time catching up and talking about funny events we experienced during our younger days as family. Collecting "Angpow" is another favorite activity during CNY. Used to enjoy receiveing these attractive n cute little red packets filled with $$$. But when you're 38 and still receiving them...hmmm...trust me it can be quite embarassing....this year was quite okay lah as nobody mentioned about the golden sentence 'when you getting married ah?'..... but what the heck...take first lah.

Now that the 1st week of CNY is over, we're all back to our offices , business, schools, colleges, homes. Some are energized after the break. Some are still recovering from all the travelling. Well, its definitely a good time when CNY comes again next year.
